A Mouse Mat and a Cookery Book

I put the moth trap out last night and was rewarded with hundreds of moths - the trouble was that apart from about half a dozen they were all Large Yellow Underwings. However, I did manage to single out and capture this Gold Spot which is one of my favourites. It really looks like someone has had the lacquer brush to it with shades of gold, bronze and copper. I had a very limited space to photograph it, and wanted to catch it from the side, and fortunately, it seemed quite happy to sit quietly atop a Nigel Slater.
