On Royal Deeside

On our way back from the Lonach Gathering we always stop off for breakfast in the lovely town of Ballater.

This was the scene this morning looking along the River Dee from the Royal bridge. The sun was shining and the mercury was reading 26 degrees. What a contrast with the devastating flood that took place after Storm Frank struck in 2015. You can see the scene, filmed from the same spot in this short video clip.
