A reet good Yorkshire sing!
After church and a quick sandwich we hurried off to Roberts’ Park, Saltaire to sing with the ATN choir again.
Through the summer the friends of Roberts’ Park invite people to use the bandstand on a Sunday afternoon for everyone’s enjoyment.
We did two 40 minute stints with a 25 minute break. We managed to put our rugs in the shade and most people were doing the same with the chairs the park had put out for them.
We had a good audience who seemed to enjoy it as much as we did.
In this picture, after the interval, the sun had sneaked around and was on my back. You might be able to spot Chris in the middle of the men’s front row unlike yesterday when he hid right at the back! Through out it all we kept getting updates on the Ashes, didn’t sound too promising but apparently we won this match!
I chose this shot as it shows off the lovely bandstand and you can see Sit Titus Salt (the benefactor from whom the village gets it’s name) looking down on us and the tower of his Reform Church amongst the trees in this World Heritage village.
A super afternoon with continuing hot weather.
Back home now and starting on a BBQ for us and our son this evening. Got to make hay while the sun shines, won’t be long before this weather will be a fond memory!
