One day this will all be houses
On a sweltering day (for Edinburgh), I took some time out to wander the fields of the west Green Belt. The first signs of the new housing development are in progress on land which has been arable fields for 250+ years. I wanted to record the views before they are lost forever. The city needs new housing, and this is where the powers-that-be have decided to build them.
I have no clue what these trenches are for but there's a series of them been excavated in parallel lines across the slope all marked with a wee blue flag and their altitude a.s.l
