Petunia and guest

Am I right in thinking the insect is a honey bee? It didn’t look like a wasp. I bought some local honey yesterday at the show hoping it would help with pollen allergies. Most of the petunias are past their best but the trailing one is looking good. Very hot tonight so I’m hoping it cools down a bit by bedtime.
