It's been a glorious day again with clear, bright blue skies.

This afternoon the swallows, swifts and house martins had started to gather on the power cables. At one point there must have been a hundred squabbling birds.

This young swallow certainly gave his neighbour a mouthful of abuse as they all vied for their individual places.

This evening I visited the fallow field and was pleased to find some sunflowers still looking good although the yellow dandelion like flowers have all gone to seed.
