Melting...
John and Norma stayed over and we all enjoyed a leisurely breakfast of muesli, fruit, bagels and coffee.
David took Lola for a walk before it got too hot and John and Norma headed home. Gail arrived just after 1pm and we headed out into the sunshine for lunch.
Had a good old natter over lunch then headed back to mine to find the house empty. David was playing golf with Kenny and Alan and Jordan had gone to Broughty Ferry.
Filled a jug with fresh orange and soda and headed to the Gin Palace with that (Gail was driving home so no gin today) and a platter of chilled melon slices and grapes. Perfect for the weather.
Spent another couple of hours out there, absolutely melting, but loving the surprise heat after some recent dodgy summer weather.
Gail headed home and David arrived in from golf tired, hot and happy as he beat Kenny on the 18th hole.
We both nodded off early evening so a late dinner was had!
Just had a phone call from John to say he and Norma have left their jackets. They left one jacket the last time so we now have three of their jackets. Have arranged to meet them tomorrow to hand them over, save John the journey back to ours and an excuse for us to have lunch in a lovely place in our old neck of the woods.
I am now trying to apply myself to choosing wall paper samples for our bedroom and ensuite (something that's been on the back burner for almost three years!) Hoping inspiration will strike.
Just realised two years ago today THIS HAPPENED! Best decision ever! :D
