January Daily Challenge - The view from here.
South Promenade gardens, St Annes.
Constructed before the first world war the gardens are not showing at their best at the moment. Only the evergreen plants remain to hint at the structure to come as spring progresses.
The seagulls above are gathered because someone is feeding the wildfowl in the water below. Ever the opportunists they wait until missed food drifts with the current into the backwater eddies before swooping down to collect it.
