Old Head

Well the weather, tide and conditions looked good for our swim today. It was never going to be a sure thing that it would happen, so that’s why I did my long swim on Saturday. But happen it did, and so I found myself swimming around The Old Head of Kinsale today with 3 others. It was a swim of two halves, the conditions on the western side made for a tough swim and rough conditions for our support boat. It was touch and go for a while, but we made it! 10.5km. I am delighted with myself! Of course no Swim happens without the support and drive of friends, so as always thanks to my fellow organisers/swimmers and boat crew today. Thanks to CC for the photo
