Putting

As a family, we enjoy games and sport ..... and competition. So today we had a mum, dad, son game of putting, with a scorecard, of course.
I got off to a poor start but came good on the last nine holes. However father and son were tied in first place with one hole to go and victory went to the old man by one stroke.
Now, if we had counted holes won plus a point for tied holes I would have been crowned champion. Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to rewrite the rules. Next time!!
