Compass points
This was a brutal sky. Telling of struggles to come, it dominated the mid morning sky and its influence was still there towards sundown. Further west, huge blankets of softer cloud poured over the low ridges, seemingly unaffected by the strong wind. There was little warmth in these and they felt desolate as we climbed up through them. Out east there was blue sky and a mackerel patterning telling of great instability. Some wonderful and intriguing cloudscapes today.
