My barber died
A few months ago I got a haircut at Fred's barbershop downtown. It was only $7. What a deal! In Phoenix, my last barber charged $20 for a haircut. Fred was friendly and not too talkative. I figured I'd found a barber.
I had waited too long to get another haircut, so last week I stopped by the shop. The sign on the door said he'd be back at 12:40. It was a little after that, but I figured I'd come by the next day. The same sign was up then. Odd.
When I came by today I saw these signs. Oh no. My barber died. I only got one haircut from Fred. What a shame. I found his obituary online. He was 81 and worked here for 60 years.
