Gresham Grasshopper, 68 Lombard Street, London

Had planned to take a photo of this during the day but it was a dodgy sky so I took this walking to the station tonight. Hmmm obviously getting used to the tripod because I'm not happy with the handheld focus :)

A grasshopper is the emblem of the Gresham family and 68 Lombard St is where Sir Thomas Gresham (c1519 -1579) lived. Thomas was an English merchant and financier who was a trusted agent of Queen Elizabeth I - he was also the founder of the Royal Exchange, which is situated only a few yards away.
