Wildlife

It's been such a wonderful day. We made the most of our day off, and did one of our favourite walks, (about 10 miles or so) from Bolton Abbey then up the brilliantly named 'Valley of Desolation' to Simon's Seat and back.

On the top we saw an adorable stoat or weasel, then this hedgehog near the river. (It was out in the daytime but seemed healthy and bright/active). Our day ended with a badger sighting, a little close for comfort as it came within a couple of feet of Dave!

Bolton Abbey was bonkers busy (bank holiday + end of Summer + sunshine = an overwhelming amount of folk) but the walk was much quieter, especially on top of the hills.
