Beside the sea

We had a trip to the coast today, a walk along the beach and chips under a tree as the sun was too hot. We earlier had coffee at a beach cafe.

Sandgate is a little known village between the lager Folkestone and Hythe coastal towns and is an hour's drive from home. In the past we have walked all three in a day, not today as following this years events a miles walk around Sandgate in the sun was bliss. As you can see this area is fairly quiet even in the height of summer.

Sandgate is opposite Sangatte on the French coast and is overlooked by the Saga holidays and insurance headquarters. They have a beautiful public park surrounding the offices (see extra).
