Bed hangings

This is a smidgen of the material used for the state bed at Calke abbey which was found in pristine condition as it had never been removed from its case. It is a four poster bed and the material is silk embroidered by hand. There were rolled up peacock feathers used! An extraordinary house with epic numbers of stuffed birds and animals.
