Dinner Plate Mushrooms

The end of August seems too early for fungi, but these huge mushrooms have recently appeared in our front lawn, along with as well as several smaller ones.  Our neighbour has a similar collection:-)

A busy day finishing off the sanding of the drive and cutting the grass for TJ and a bit of housework, more washing and some grassy edge trimming for me.  We were keen to get as much done before the rain started again, as it has tonight.  Also picked our first large bag of apples from one of the trees.  Still have several bags of frozen apples from last year!!
