Surf-A-Thon

A final volleyball session before we head home in a week found us at Dog Beach near the Del Mar Racetrack. Turns out, the beach is aptly named as a group of volunteers was holding surfing lessons for dogs in preparation of the upcoming annual surf-a-thon. I checked the website and the found the Helen Woodward Animal Center has been conducting dog surf lessons every other week for a couple of months. Sorry I'm going to miss the 14th annual event in two week's time, where I'm sure there would be fabulous photo opportunities, but vacation cannot last forever.
