Agapanthus and the Hoverfly

Today's the day ……………………. to hang on

One of the flowers on my Agapanthus Twister  has opened and there has been a hoverfly on it for most of the day.  I'm not very up on hoverflies but presumably they collect nectar and pollen like bees?

I'm sure someone will tell me …………………...
