China clay travels.
China clay is still quarried in Cornwall, from where it travels in big lorries to various quaysides and loaded onto cargo ships (please see extra). It's then used by many countries in a variety of industrial processes.
Due to the rain, and officious hi viz jackets prowling round the perimeter, I couldn't really get the shots I wanted, but I hope this gives an idea of the clay's travels.
Thanks, as always, to BobsBlips for hosting the travel themed wide wednesday.
