I nipped down to West Vale for a fish and chip take away supper from Catch Seafood Restaurant.

In the last 10 years this once quiet area has boomed and now supports several restaurants (Thai, Italian, Mexican, Tapas, Seafood, Indian), a number of bars, half a dozen take aways and lots of small businesses. The upper floors of the large mill building pictured is occupied by Andy Thorntons Architectural Antiques where you can currently buy a 19th Century pulpit for a mere £28,000. 

The place is now known as West Vegas by some of the locals.
