Old Brewery on the Caldew, Carlisle.
My Grandson and I had a little walk in Carlisle while waiting for my wife who had gone to buy biscuit seconds from the well known factory in Carlisle.
I took him to the Irish Gate and told him about the footbridge across the gate, being in the shape of a longbow and that one of the vertical supports was shaped and represented an arrow for the bow.
On our way back to the car we had to pass over the River Caldew and it was from that bridge that I took this image of the old state brewery.
