Fire Escape

On our morning walk, this fire escape caught my eye.  I have walked past it untold times in the 13 years we have lived in this neighborhood.  Each time I thought about sneaking an image, something else got my attention.  Our building does not have a fire escape.  We do have stairs on either end of the structure.  We live on the 9th floor so we probably won't jump in the event of an emergency.  I guess we can wait for the firemen to carry us down.
