Blankets

In light of my pending adoption (fingers crossed for soon) my sister has given me two blankets that my mum knitted for my nephews when they were born. One (being mended in the background) is on long term loan, and the other is to keep and hand on to my own child.

Both blankets needed some mending and mum sprang into action. The foreground blanket has had some good old-fashioned darning; not a perfect match on the wool colour, but I love the fact that these blankets have a history and a story.
