We had a visit today from Stoirling Council Environmental Health Officer to assess the kitchens of Hels Bakehouse. I am glad to say that following a glowing report, the Bakehouse will shortly be starting commercial activities so get your orders in soon people!

In a bid to make the inspection go as smoothly as possible, I felt it prudent to take McG Jr. out of the way for a few hours, so we headed for The Hunterian Museum at The University of Glasgow - Scotland's oldest public museum! This is a fantastic collection of scientific instruments, natural history exhibits, brass musical instruments and human skulls. This amazing museum is housed in the stunning University of Glasgow building which is worth a visit just to see the building itself.

Home for a Hels Bakehouse pastry, I think!
