Red for anger
On a day-to-day level, a fairly normal sort of day. Spent most of it proof-reading the footnotes and references in Lu's thesis, with time off for a yoga session after lunch. Open Mic at the local pub in the evening, where everyone assiduously avoided the burning topic of the day.
Distracted by listening to the events unfolding in Westminster, with a growing sense of horror, disbelief, and anger. The Queen has agreed to Boris's request to prorogue Parliament - not just for a short time, but for 5 weeks. It seems akin to establishing a dictatorship, denying MPs the opportunity to question him, and to hold him to account. And if anyone needs holding to account it's Boris Johnson and his gang of cronies...
Enough of that - I could go on for a while, but will save it for elsewhere...
Meanwhile, here's a beautiful red dahlia.
