Autumn cleaning
It was time that our tiny church had a good clean. It took four of us with brooms, dusters, polishes and cleaning agents just a morning to get the building shipshape again removing all the cobwebs, spider debris, mouse droppings and general dust. We even had a very long fishing rod with a duster attached to its end to clean the bosses and beams! It was fun polishing the pews and seeing names, scribbles and little drawings from bored and restless children over the years come to life. The church has been in use since the 13 C and must have witnessed many country people come and go with their families and life stories.
