Painted Lady

The Long-tailed Blue made it on to the local television news yesterday. I spent all morning in another fruitless search for it but at least there were still plenty of Painted Lady to keep me interested. Tomorrow I may go to the location in Brighton where the television cameras were although I understand that the three individuals seen there were all very worn. The best bet may be to wait four or five weeks by which time the recently laid eggs should have become adults.
