Modern tutorial

When I started studying with the OU in 2003 tutorials were held from 6.30 - 8.30 pm in Cambridge. I used to catch the 5.15 train - just miss the 8.35 home so had to wait an hour, getting home just after 10. I enjoyed them though, for the face to face contact with other students and the tutor. Tonight we had a tutorial from 7 - 9pm,  online. I logged in at 6.55 - logged out at 9.05 and never left the comfort of my own armchair. I could see the tutor but not the other students - but we could talk to each other, ask questions etc - there were 26 of us from all over the country. Not the same as face to face but better than just typing onto a forum. Much has changed in 16 years!
