Hours Old

My timing has not been good this Summer at the metro park for farm animal births, but today was pretty good. Sometime during the early morning, mama pig gave birth to 11 piglets. I got there just as they were giving them their first shots, so there was A LOT of squealing going on. So cute.

In addition, I had several birds eating out of my hand, so there is a Downy Woodpecker in my Extras. She landed 3-4 times, taking 3-4 peanuts. 

We ended the night having 7 of us for dinner at our house, and then going to the last concert of the Summer at the downtown gazebo. The band played Woodstock-era music, and I knew every song. (But I refused to get up and dance!) There was a HUGE crowd, and a lot of bell-bottomed pants and tie-dyed shirts.
