Fathers Day @ School
The boy asked me last night if I would go to the school with him in the morning for Fathers Day celebrations. I said that I was (obviously) not his Father but he said that I was like his father .....anyway he wanted me to go.
Sheesh! how to say no to that?
Jaiya came too for moral support...I have to say that it has never been my thing to sit around with Mums talking kids ...or Dads that matter....gives me the heebie jeebies.
When we arrived it felt as if I had entered a gladiator ring with wild lions just about to devour me...not only that.... whilst the boy and I were doing an egg and spoon race I nearly got taken out by a foot ball (I dropped my egg).....I nearly got wiped out with a tennis racket and various other dangerous implements that went wizzing by....the luck of the Irish must of been with me....I got back to the car unscathed.
His Mum is taking him to the school dance now...I decided to stay home.....phew!
I wanted to take a pic of him with his backpack....gosh its so huge with all his stuff in it.. its cruel for those kids to carry around all that stuff.
Had a play with some other filters..the pic wasn't that good out of the iphone.
I wast thinking about this quote the other day when the boy reckoned he knew more than his mum.
“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
