St Lawrence's Church
This church is one of the tree original parish churches of Reading, The church dates from the time of the Norman period but has been substantially rebuilt several times in subsequent periods. It stands close to the Town Hall and Reading Museum. The latter is worth a visit to see the copy of the Bayeux Tapestry, this faithful copy makes seeing the original tapestry unnecessarily. Perhaps that is a philistine view.
It was feeling very warm in the south of England today. Still fairly sunny while I was in Reading, but it clouded over later.
The photograph is a panorama of three pictures as I could not get far enough back to get the whole church in the frame. Unlike when I was at Dunottar last week I remembered to switch the camera to full manual before I took the photographs.
