In other news, we have spent some time fighting with the TV stand.  Our old TV didn't have a stand.  We bought it with the house, and it was hanging on the wall.  We didn't want it on the wall, so we bought a unit that allowed a TV to be hung from the back of it.

The new TV came with a little stand which was perfectly functional.  However, we've got used to having the TV fixed to the unit, and we were unhappy with the slight insecurity of a large TV not fastened.  Especially with the potential of young children around.  So today, we attached the TV to the stand.  Only to discover that we could no longer put the aerial into the hole on the back of the TV, so W had to cut a chunk out of the fixing.

The fixings we bought for the old TV seem to have been faulty, and have always resulted in the TV hanging slightly "on the huh" as we say in Norfolk - this seems worse since changing the TV, so tomorrow we will try to sort that out as well.
