Early morning excitement

We arrived at nursery this morning to find all the staff standing in the car park... and then a fire engine arrived.

It was a false alarm, thankfully. We had to wait a while before we could drop off.

The children were gorgeously excited. For example, L was chattering away, “Wow, Mummy. It has blue lights. What an amazing machine!” We waited until we could wave the firefighters and the fire engine goodbye... and they waved back, which was lovely.

Quite a lot of L’s friend left nursery today to go to big school next week... she got lots of goodbye cuddles when I collected her at lunchtime. We’re there for another year.
