Retail Therapy

I went into Aylesbury today for an optician check and then had a look around. There was quite a lot of activity with the market and generally quite a few people about. Another time I'll take the camera with me for some Street photography. I didn't actually find anything to buy because, of course, it is August and the shops are stocking up with clothes for the winter despite it being hot and summer holidays in full swing!

I called in at the 3 mobile phone store to see the best way of repairing my cracked screen. The young chap in charge took a look. In his opinion the screen wasn't cracked - it was the screen protector that had taken the brunt of the fall and it was this that was cracked. He couldn't be certain though. So I brought it home, fished out the spare screen protector (they came as a pack of two) and gingerly took off the old one.

Yes!!! The screen was completely unscathed. So now with everything cleaned and new protector in place I have a perfectly useful phone screen again - without shelling out £200 for a repair.
Success. The moral being - put a high quality screen protector on your phone: well worth it.
