Mirage of the Digits

It is silly how we often delude ourselves to think that the burdens at our workplace will magically be lifted just because a few digits changed on the calendar. Today, the first workday of 2013, felt an awful lot like the last workday of 2012. Same BS, different year. Even the mad dash to lunch was no different today.
