Nothing happens here...

Sure as the sunrise....

At around 8am the office was lit up by the sunrise over the North Sea. The golden glow only lasted about 15 minutes but I thought this - not great - shot across Seaham to the Tees Estuary was worthy of a Blip.

The ships moored off Tees Bay include Cape Ioanna waiting to dock from Tubarao in Brazil and Hebei Joyce in from Saldanha in South Africa. Passing by is Stolt Redshank bound for Aberdeen from Hull. There are many others dotted around. The cliffs just north of Whitby are visible on a clear day and in this shot the Cleveland Hills appear as a dark rise on the right horizon.

There have been a few good sunrises this week, some last a couple of minutes others a bit longer. Large view reveals more detail of shipping.
