Drenched

So my daughter wanted to go to our local shops to see if she could get a haircut. They could fit her in, but we had 2 hours to wait. So we thought, let's walk up to the park, round the lake and then have a cup of tea!
It was overcast, but dry. I was in flip flops - but both of us did have coats.

We walked along the lake, and began to cross the 'bridge' / ford at the end of the lake - in the picture. Then the rain suddenly came on, and began pelting down. We took shelter for a few minutes when we reached the end (and I took this picture), then we gave up and carried on. 

Of course when we reached the café, the rain miraculously dried up.... We had a salad each, and then went to get her hair cut. Very happy young lady, and we have done 9000 steps.
