Bristol Prorogation Protests

When we turned up we felt perhaps the weather had put people off... but by the time we got under way there were approximately five thousand of us - admittedly often hiding under umbrellas as the rain poured down but that didn't stop us! Similar protests took place and are taking place all across the UK. It remains to be seen if this expression of people power will have any sort of impact... I fear not, and that the next level of protest is just around the corner. Set aside, for now, if you can, Brexit. What Johnson and his ilk are doing now is anti-democratic and counter everything that this country has stood for for hundreds of years. Godwin's Law is always troubling in these situations but really, we are at that stage right now. More pics on Flickr.
