Midnight feast ?

Normous has always been very proud of his lawn and enjoys looking after it. It was a good lawn when we moved in and it still is - or at least it was! N got such a shock when he drew the curtains this morning and saw this devastation. We are presuming that the damage is caused by a badger digging for grubs or worms. We do sometimes have a badger living close by. They are protected, we can't take direct action, but N has bought some fox repellant (harmless to foxes and cats) and we hope it works on badgers too.
Last week a large group of travellers moved into the village recreation ground. They moved on after several days and a court order. Pity we can't serve a court order on the badger!
