Middle Earth

This is a view of the base of the Southern Alps from the Hakatere Conservation Reserve.Marie and I drove out to Mount Somers this afternoon and then onto Lake Clearwater. It was hot I was wading through a creek following some Dragonflies, I tried to capture the giant ones but they just kept flying around but at least my feet were cool. First time into Lake Clearwater and it was beautiful and great landscape territory. Heres looking at you paladian. This was the backdrop to the Lord of the Rings Two Towers,this is looking from Erehwon Station.
