Allotments and football fields flooded

Despite having no rain since morning the River Allan has breached its banks this afternoon/evening and the allotments and Haws Park (Cornton Road, Bridge of Allan) are flooded with the allotments looking like paddy fields and the football pitches looking like a boating pond. The flooding is due to a high tide on the Forth preventing the discharge of water from the Allan which is causing it to back up as far as Allanvale Road in Bridge of Allan.
