Last day of August
Today is our last free day before we leave. There was much to do and we nearly had a list! One of the most important things is for me to get my insurance claim on its way, so we called in at Chris' house to collect some more print outs. He also had my new Spring Harvest CD to hand to me!
We then went to Guildford to do some last bits of shopping. Glad to have got everything on the list; there was even time to pop into Curry's to look at an iron as the one at the Lodge suddenly stopped working in the morning. I was surprised that it rained. The forecast said 20% chance of rain. Well, it rained for about forty minutes. We had left the gazebo up with some washing safely underneath it.
We came home to find the gazebo blown over, and the washing had gotten wet again. Argh! Anyway, it meant the gazebo got put away - a job I was not looking forward to doing, but now it's got done by default. The BBQ got blown over too!
We had a lasagna provided by Eileen for dinner and then watched the DVD of Fisherman's Friends - borrowed from Chris. It has to be returned tomorrow morning. Can't believe it is the last day of August today. SweetArt beat us all on the date - 1.9.19. That's a pretty cool date. :)
