Settle Flowerpot Festival!
Last year Mum and I went along to Settle to enjoy the flowerpot trail for the the first time. We thought it was great fun and decided to go today, just in time before it ends next weekend. Despite the heavy rain showers, it was fab. A really superb route around the town of Settle and neighbouring village of Giggleswick, plus superb quiz with directions to follow the entire way round. A bonus train ride from, and back to, Shipley, too!
Back to school tomorrow because the summer holidays go in the blink of an eye...but then again so does the school year in many respects. It's been a summer of adventures near and far, sunshine, heat, heavy rain and smiles. I'll miss having time but more so having more frequent company.
Now to treat weekends as mini holidays, a time for adventure and making the most of the freedom hours...starting with a trip to see the Troon Trio next weekend. :-) Oh and of course, evening strolls and the magical 9-10pm TV watching hour that's a staple during term time!!
