Aberfoyle

A busy day hiking. Encountered buzzards, kite, kestrel, common darters etc. It rained quite a bit but in the evening as we returned to camp we were treated to this lovely sight. A horse and pony grazing next to the swollen river. At night we were treated a period of beautiful clear sky, we watched shooting stars, it was a cold one. I found a tick crawling over my hand and quickly got rid. Will be doing a thorough check when we leave. Around 2 am we heard a very loud owl, he must’ve been perched in the trees just above us.
When I saw this scene I immediately thought of The Divine Comedy’s My Lovely Horse as featured in Father Ted.
