Mt Elbert

Not my sort of photograph, or the sort of place I'd choose to go on a holiday weekend.  However, I'm staying with friends, and I had the opportunity to go on this hike from a trailhead that its at the end of a rough 4WD road.  I wouldn't have driven it by myself!  As it was busy, we had to pass quite a few vehicles on the way down which involved a fair amount of backing.  It would probably have been faster to walk!
