To Birkenhead Central Library this afternoon to see the fabulous Hannah Cohen and band (including partner and producer Sam Evian) play a gig as part of the excellent ‘Get It Loud In Libraries’ scheme https://getitloudinlibraries.com

I got into Hannah’s third album ‘Welcome Home’ thanks to the enthusiasm of Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie on BBC 6Music, who have hailed it as “the album of the summer”. In fact, as fate would have it, Hannah was the special guest on their show yesterday (still available on the BBC Sounds app for another 4 weeks www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0008395 should you care to listen).

What better way for a music-obsessed bibliophile to end the summer than to see Hannah perform songs including ‘This is Your Life’ https://youtube.com/watch?v=M1bOguIqV5g amongst all the books?
