Vintage Air Show

Armed with a gourmet picnic we made an early start off to the the Old Warden Vintage Air Display and the weather stayed pretty kind for most of the day although there was a challenging wind for some of the older aircraft and one or two showers and the clouds looked like they might empty at any time but luckily the wind blew them on. We met up with friends from the Gliding Club and it was especially good to meet 5 month old Jack, his parents and granny. Jack's mum told me how much he loves 'Winston', the little crochet Aardvark I made for him.

The main highlight of the show was seeing the Lancaster for the second time in a week and the little 'Fauvel' French single-seat tailless glider giving a wonderful aerobatic display.
