SLEDMERE SPECIAL

This is the monument on the Sledmere Estate to commemorate the contributions made to the War Effort by agricultural workers.
They left their farming fields to take their Shire Horses across to France to boost the forces during the First World War. The monument contains many carvings illustrating their efforts.
