This afternoon I had an appointment with the oncology consultant. I was very anxious as I had only seen her once before and that was when I was a patient in hospital, and she was the bringer of bad tidings.

Today, she was very positive and said I should have my third round of chemo tomorrow and that i would have six months of chemo in total. That's,2019 sorted. Roll on 2020.

Bluewater is very close to the hospital and we decided to do a shopping trip afterwards. John Lewis has a new coffee shop called ORI Caffee and we had a coffee and some Italian cakes. My blip was taken from the cafe looking into the adjacent stationery department.

We had an early evening meal in Pizza Express and both had the vegan pizzas which were delicious. Unfortunately I was still full of cappuccino and cake, so the leggera pizza was wasted on me.

I felt very tired with back ache, so we curtailed our shopping spree and returned home for feet up, another coffee and Jamie Oliver's Meat free cookery programme.
